Buyer Seo Best Practices : Webmasters and content providers began optimizing web sites for search engines in the mid-1990s, as the first search engines were cataloging the early Web. Initially, all webmasters needed to do was to submit the address of a page, or URL, to the various engines which would send a “spider” to “crawl” that page, extract links to other pages from it, and return information found on the page to be indexed. The process involves a search engine spider downloading a page and storing it on the search engine’s own server, where a second program, known as an indexer, extracts various information about the page, such as the words it contains and where these are located, as well as any weight for specific words, and all links the page contains, which are then placed into a scheduler for crawling at a later date.
The word SEO means Search Engine Optimization. It is some kind of process to get traffic into the specific web site. The process can be free, editorial or natural listings on the search engines like Google, Yahoo etc. The search engines consider the specific website according to unique contents, local listings and user choice. Now I want to show a diagram which is given below:
There are few factors of SEO, these are given below:
- Domain name
- Back links
- Keywords
- Visitors
- Loading speed of site
- Hosting
There are four major groups of SEO ranking factors depend on these factors, these are:
- On The Page Ranking Factors.
- Off The Page Ranking Factors.
- Violations
- Blocking
No single SEO factor will guarantee search engine rankings. Having many links won’t help if they are low quality links. But having several positive factors can increase the odds of success. As for negative factors, they obviously can worsen the odds.
On The Page search ranking factors are those that are entirely depends on writer’s own control. What type of content do you publish? Are you providing important HTML clues that help search engines with determining relevancy? How does your site architecture help or hinder search engines? It is related with header tags, Meta tags, Sub-heading tags etc.
Off The Page ranking factors are those that publishers cannot directly control. It depends on many factors. These are:
- Blog comments
- Social Bookmarking
- Directory Submission
- Forum posting
- Social networking
- Article submission etc
Make no mistake. Search engines want people to perform SEO. They provide help directly about SEO techniques and encourage this, because good SEO can improve their listings. However, there are some techniques that they deem “spam” or “black hat,” acts that if you do could results in your pages getting a ranking penalty or worse, being banned from the search engines for certain period of time.
Blocking is a new class of ranking signal. This is where searchers themselves may decide they don’t like pages from a particular web site, even if those web sites don’t violate any traditional spam rules. It has a big impact on what the individual who blocks sees, but it also has an impact on what every searcher sees.
